Aruna Goud, a fashion designer and an accomplished entrepreneur from Hyderabad and the founder of the label ARUNA GOUD found her spot on the Red Carpet of the 77the Cannes Film Festival. Her brand offers unique, fashionable, and functional couture, emphasizing artistry, creativity, and quality. Japanese movie actress Monicakamar wore an exquisite lehenga designed by Aruna. “I also got the opportunity to dress up Moroccan model Imane Rouazit’s off-shoulder gown with long back cape with a veil for the event,” she said.
Founder of India Glam Fashion Week (IGFW) which has become a platform for designers to showcase their week, Aruna feels that the Cannes opportunity has helped her to leapfrog into a different league in the realm of fashion. Aruna herself was the cynosure of all eyes when she turned up in a pink handloom Benarasi brocade gown that showcased the richness of Indian handlooms.
“Our bridal couture combines Indian aesthetics with modern sensibility, inspired by India’s rich heritage,” said Aruna, on the sidelights of the fashion extravaganza. Aruna has represented India at Paris, Milan & London Fashion Week with her collections previously.
