The biryani-loving Hyderabadis seem to be embracing the Instagram reels showcasing delightful salads, steering towards exotic and gourmet vegetables to elevate their salad experience. Catering to this trend is Lemon Chillii Farms in Hyderabad which is putting together a specialized vegetable kit for salad buffs. This kit comprises a curated selection of Biquinho peppers (small pods), sweet garden peppers, sweet and tangy cherry tomatoes, honey cherry tomatoes, peeled beetroot, carrots with carrot greens, and purple cabbage.

Janardhan Yalamanchilli, the Founder of Lemon Chillii Farms, says that as part of their farm-to-table experience for Hyderabadis, they ensure nextday delivery if orders are placed before 9:30 pm the previous day. The hydroponic vegetable farm produce is free of unwanted chemical residues and pesticides. Top cafés and branded food giants such as Domino’s Pizza, and Amazon Fresh and Blinkit source their vegetables from Lemon Chilllii as they use the technology from Dutch GreenHouse Delta, a Netherlandsbased horticulture company.

In addition to their vegetable assortment, they also cultivate exotic and rare chillies, including habaneros; cherry tomatoes, orange bell peppers, and Aji Limon (lemon-flavored pepper). Among their best sellers are Taiwan papaya, kohlrabi (knol-khol), baby carrots, and beetroot besides an assortment of fresh herbs such as parsley, rosemary, and thyme.

Prices: Depends on the vegetable; assorted sweet garden peppers (250 grams) for Rs 115)
